Guest speakers - Mr. Glenn Marcus and Mr. Robert Uth will be presenting part of his documentary film The March of the Bonus Army.  (Bios included below).      

Charge - $15.00, including buffet lunch and sodas.  Alcoholic beverages- $2.00 each.
Attire - Business casual.  NOTE:  Valid photo ID required.

Parking - While there is no parking at the Embassy, paid, off-street parking is available behind and under the Airline Pilots Association- 17th and Mass, and, at 15th and Mass (1240 15th street). On-street, two hours, metered parking is also available.

Biography:  Glenn Marcus served 13 years at the National Endowment for the Humanities, and then 12 years at PBS national headquarters, where he shared the portfolio of series such as THE AMERICAN EXPERIENCE, NOVA, and coordinated national programming for the 50th anniversaries of WWII and the Korean War, plus efforts on Vietnam and the Holocaust.  He is an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University, and has delivered lectures at national conferences and universities from California to Pennsylvania. He received his history degree under the tutelage of his advisor Stephen Ambrose. He received a National Emmy nomination in the craft of writing, has produced and/or written three PBS national primetime documentaries:  THE WORLD WAR II MEMORIAL (2004); THE MARCH OF THE BONUS ARMY (2006) and HALLOWED GROUNDS (2009), and won two journalism fellowships from the Knight Foundation.  He is now the senior member of the Press Freedom Team at National Press Club.

Robert Uth is a television director, producer, and writer in Washington, DC. He has a BA in English Literature. His early career was in arts management, journalism, photography, and advertising. For the past 30 years, he has specialized in television production. He has written, produced and directed hundreds of television and audio-visual programs, commercials, public service announcements, educational films, and short and long documentaries. Five of these documentaries were PBS Primetime Specials: “Tesla: Master of Lightning,” winner of a National Capital Region EMMY. “Korean War Stories,” winner of a national EMMY for “outstanding historical documentary.” “The World War II Memorial,” winner of a Cine Golden Eagle. “The March of the Bonus Army,” also awarded a Cine Golden Eagle. And “Hallowed Grounds,” nominated for a national Emmy for “outstanding craft of writing.” Uth is currently working on a documentary about disabled veterans.
